Making America Healthy Again?

I strongly urge anyone interested in the health of our country, and countries worldwide, to follow Dr. Katelyn Jetelina, the epidemiologist behind Your Local Epidemiologist (YLE). I discovered her during the pandemic, when she took it upon herself to start a newsletter to share reliable information about COVID-19 and vaccinations. She was still an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at that time and began YLE not as a way to make money but instead because she was committed to providing trustworthy science communication during a time when facts seemed hard to decipher. As a dedicated follower since then, I’ve see her commitment to the public’s health grow, as have her followers (and her amazing career). She is not partisan; she is guided by the greater good and truly dedicated to ensuring that America is healthy.

In today’s newsletter, YLE describes the troubling data and communications freeze at all federal agencies and the chaotic mess (yes there is a theme to my recent posts) that is brewing, not to mention the tremendous risks to health that this poses.
